Former Shrewsbury Town coach Mick Wadsworth has cast doubt over his future with crisis club Gretna by admitting he is likely to miss tomorrow’s match against St Mirren.
Wadsworth, who was No 2 to ex-Town boss Gary Peters, is also Gretna’s director of football, avoided the axe when administrators Wilson Field made 22 players and several staff redundant on Wednesday.
But he is considering his exit from the bottom-placed Clydesdale Bank Premier League club and has spent time in England this week looking at potential job opportunities.
Gretna will be relegated from the SPL if they lose to St Mirren tomorrow.
Wadsworth said: “The reason I am away from the club just now is because I am looking at something for next season.
“I don’t think I will be back for Saturday’s game .”
