With many pubs and bars across the region losing money or even closing outright, a crisis believed by many to be caused by last year’s smoking ban, Elaine Wright and Ali Johnson of the Pinewood Tavern in Welshpool have created a petition aiming to persuade the government to have a change of heart over the ban. Their suggestion is to allow for the creation of smoking rooms in public houses.
