
Angel Gardens in Springfield, close to the village of Bitterley, near Ludlow, has around three acres of beautifully landscaped country gardens, including two detached stone-built cottages. The original stone-built Springfield Cottage was built in about 1750 and has many delightful original features. A separate cottage, Angel Barn, is not only an annex for private use but is also a four-star holiday cottage which currently provides a substantial regular income. In 2002 Angel Gardens was first accepted into the prestigious Yellow Book (National Gardens Scheme) and has a tea room pavilion. In 2007 there were 1,000 paying visitors from all over the country.
