Businesses on a Shrewsbury industrial estate have spoken of their fears after a spate of arson attacks.
More than £300,000 of farm machinery was destroyed in a huge fire at Ravenhill Farm Services, Knights Way, Battlefield Enterprise Park, yesterday and in February, French Cars in nearby Henry Close was attacked.
Manager of Ravenhill Farm Services Dave Edwards said he would be improving security at the site after four new T7000 tractors, worth £60,000 each, and four trailers were set alight.
He said two of the tractors had already been bought by customers and he now needed to find replacements.
He said: “The fires were started in the cabs of all the tractors and it was definitely arson.”
Manager of French Cars Mark Berquez said it was a worrying trend.
He said: “Maybe we need more police presence out of business hours because that seems to be the time these people are around.”
West Mercia Police spokesman Richard Ewels today said police inquiries were still ongoing.
Any witnesses to either of the arson attacks should contact police on 08457 444888.
l Fire also ripped through a Telford charity shop today causing thousands of pounds of damage.
Arsonists are being blamed for the blaze which gutted The Salvation Army shop in High Street, Dawley, and a flat above.
