Police investigate sheep theft

sheep-grazing.jpgPolice in Powys are investigating the theft of 30 Welsh mountain sheep from a farm in the Llangurig area.

It is thought the ewes were taken between last June and this spring. The animals had the farm’s ear tag displaying the flock number.

They were also marked with the farm’s individual mark that can be identified by the owner.

Dyfed-Powys Police said it and trading standards were investigating sheep thefts, illegal movements of livestock and illegal slaughter of livestock in Powys.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 08453 302000.
