Fans bailed after fight

Twelve suspected football hooligans who were arrested in a series of dawn raids have been re-released on bail as police investigations into alleged soccer-related violence continue.

The men, in their late teens and 20s, answered bail yesterday after they were arrested in January on suspicion of violent disorder in Shrewsbury. They have been released on bail again until April 25.

The raids followed fighting between Shrewsbury Town and Walsall fans at Wednesbury’s Tame Bridge Parkway station on November 10 last year, before a FA Cup match.
