Market Drayton Town Football Club officials are confident of winning their race against time to get their ground up to scratch for a possible promotion.
The north Shropshire side must get Greenfields up to standard by March 31, with the main sticking point centering over the number of seats.
Drayton currently have 108, 50 short of the required level to play at step four. They planned to build a separate stand to make up the shortfall, but that has been scuppered by FA rules.
“We got the go-ahead to build a stand with 50 seats, but we have been told they have got to be part of the same stand,” said chairman Alex Mutch.
“We are working out the best way forward and we are confident it will all be done in time.”
Manager Simon Line added: “I’m very confident whatever needs to be done will be done and we are just concentrating on what we need to do on the pitch.”
While it is rumoured two teams will be promoted a final announcement is not expected until mid-May after an FA meeting.
Drayton - who if successful would move up to either the UniBond League Division One South or BGB Southern League Midland Division - are currently third, but with enough games in hand to overhaul leaders Atherstone.
Second-placed Loughborough Dynamo remain in the box seat for the championship at this stage.
Both Drayton and Loughborough are in action tonight.
