New head for school

The most successful school in south Shropshire has appointed a new headteacher.

Jonathan Bartlett will become headteacher at Moor Park School, near Ludlow, in September. He will replace Mike Piercey, who has been headteacher for six years.

Mr Bartlett is presently deputy headteacher at Papplewick School, in Ascot.

He will move to Ludlow in August with his wife, Lisa, and their three children.

Mr Piercey is moving to the New Beacon School, in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Moor Park is an independent school with south Shropshire’s highest grades.
