Appeal for walk volunteers

Bridgnorth WalkThe future of one of Bridgnorth’s biggest events, the Bridgnorth Walk, would be guaranteed if a couple more volunteers stepped forward, organisers have said.

The walk committee revealed that the long-term future of the May bank holiday event was in jeopardy because of a shortage of volunteers.

Walk chairman Derek Moorhouse said one new volunteer had come forward and had started working, but two or three more people were still needed.

The 42nd walk is set to take place on May 26. Volunteers can contact Mr Moorhouse on (01746) 762059.
