New faces at Geneva Motor Show

nissan-pivo-2-concept.jpg

Nissan’s bubble-shaped Pivo 2 is sure to make its mark at Geneva. Despite its peculiar design, the innovative Pivo 2 is a lot more clever than it looks. With zero-emissions, it’s propelled by four small 3D disc motors in each wheel and powered by advanced Li-Ion batteries. A 360 degree rotation means the driver can always face forward, while the 90 degree movement in each wheel makes parking and manoeuvres simple. The car is operated through ‘X by Wire’ technology, so the steering and other mechanical linkages are replaced by electronic signals.
