Demand for “sensibly priced” properties in Shropshire remains good despite repeated reports of a downturn in the national housing the market.
That’s the view of Guy Bielby, who manages agent’s Halls office in Shrewsbury.
“Despite all the doom and gloom in the media, we are finding that sensibly priced properties are still receiving reasonable levels of interest in a steady market,” he said.
“I must emphasise how important it is in the current climate that sellers set a realistic price for their property.
“We are yet to see the result of the recent interest rate cut, which will probably filter through next month.”
He reported steady interest in homes up to £350,000 and, at the upper end of the market, properties with land and building plots remained in demand.
Two sales recently completed by Halls are The Old Vicarage, Shop Lane, High Ercall, Telford, which had a price guide of £500,000 and Park View, 10 Petton Hall, Petton, Burlton, which was on the market for £289,000.
