Campaigners battling plans to build a waste incinerator on the outskirts of Shrewsbury are to hold a public meeting tonight.
The Safe Waste in Shropshire group is against the plans for the incinerator, which could be built in Battlefield as part of a contract between Shropshire Waste Partnership and Veolia Environmental Services.
Supporters claim the incinerator would safely treat residual household waste. But opponents have raised health fears.
The meeting is at Sundorne School and Sports College at 7.30pm.
