Steam power has returned to the Severn Valley Railway after part of the line was destroyed by last year’s floods.

The attractions, based between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, was partially closed when the line was washed away.

But tireless work by volunteers has enabled trains to start running into the county once again - and as our video journalist Richard Tisdale discovered, the general public are impressed.

A first class effort by all concerned. Great to see this fantastic Shropshire/Worcestershire heritage back running again, and I look forward to the full re-opening.
