A trip to the seaside for group

Thanks to Mrs Margaret Jones, of Tasley Close, Bridgnorth, for the loan of this photo.

She says: “I think it is of a party from Broseley going on a trip. My mother-in-law Mrs Albert Jones, of 24 Church Street, Broseley, used to go on trips to the seaside or to places of interest.

“I would be pleased to hear if anyone recognises the photo and when it was taken. She was born and brought up in the town. She died in 1974.”

It seems likely that the trip was to Southport as printed on the back of the photo is “W Rigby, photographer, Cemetery Road, Southport, Phone 4117.”
