Shropshire and mid Wales farmland and country lanes were under water again today after days of heavy rain saw river levels rise.
Flood watches from the Environment Agency were in place on the River Severn today through Shropshire as well as the Severn Vyrnwy confluence, the Vyrnwy Catchment and the Lower Dee Valley on the north Shropshire border.
But, with the weather forecast predicting drier days to come, it is unlikely that the situation will get worse.
Villagers in Melverley woke this morning to find many lanes in the area under water as well as acres of farmland.
