Laundering cash guilty plea

A Telford man who was arrested as part of a major police operation to tackle the drugs trade has admitted being involved in the laundering of money.

Richard Jones, 52, of Johnston Road, Dawley, pleaded guilty at Stafford Crown Court yesterday.

Co-defendants Andrew Ruck, 30, of Erdington, Birmingham, and 39-year-old Adrian Sergeant, of Sutton Coldfield, also admitted money laundering Sergeant also admitted being involved in a conspiracy to supply class C drugs and possessing a prohibited weapon.

The court asked for reports ahead of sentencing.
