Motorists heading to Shrewsbury faced huge tailbacks during rush hour after an accident on the A5.
The incident happened two miles from Shrewsbury in the westbound lane between junction seven on the M54 at Cluddley and Preston Boats Island at 3.25pm yesterday.
Nobody was injured.
