How DID I miss this article?!?!

Some very nice cars mentioned there, but - as a rabid petrolhead - I feel I should correct some of the more glaring errors.

The Dodge Viper will do 60 in 4.2 seconds……..if pushed off a cliff. The original mentioned here will only just drop below 5 on a very good day.

Koenigsegg: Right car, wrong pic (the pic is a Lamborghini Murcielago)

A Ford GT dreams of cracking 60 in 3.1 seconds (even the limited edition GT 600RE can’t manage that).

Bugatti Veyron: It can - of course - do 60 in 3 seconds, but that’s with me behind the wheel on a wet track. It has been tested and recorded over the benchmark at 2.5 seconds in the dry. More to the point, Autocar Magazine tested one two years ago in their annual 0-100-0 test. It completed it in less than 10 seconds (9.9 to be precise).

    Omissions?

    Ariel Atom 300 (0-100-0 in just over 10 seconds, 0-60 in 3.3)
    BMW E46 M3: 0-60 in 4.8
    Ferrari 430 Scuderia: 0-60 in 3.6
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera: 0-60 in 3.7
    Mitsubishi Evo XI FQ400: 0-60 in 3.8
9ff GT9: 0-60 in 5.4……………..(but, crucially, once the wheelspin has been overcome, it’ll get to 200 quicker than a Veyron!!).
