Hayley Jones Name: Hayley Jones

Age: 21

From: Wellington

Hayley first entered face of the future in 2006 and said the positive response she received from people encouraged her to give it another try this year.

Her determination and positivity impressed the judges who put her through to the final ten.

“I do have lots of energy and enjoy having my photograph taken,” said Hayley.

“I also love meeting people. I am fit, healthy and a happy person and would have loved this opportunity to try some modelling. The photoshoot was great fun and we all got on with each other very well.

“My jobs have included administration in a big company, shop and bar work and I have also travelled a fair bit, meeting interesting people around Britain.

“My family include myself, mum and dad, my brother and two lovely dogs, and we are very close. We spend a lot of time together and still have family holidays.

“It would be great to get a chance to represent Telford Shopping Centre and I would love to do more modelling. I would also like to say that I am really grateful for the experience.”

Hair: Debbie added some soft curls to Hayley’s luxuriously dark tresses which was then worn loose.

“We thought it would look great down especially as Hayley was wearing a long sweeping dress.”

Make-up: The make-up palette was chosen to emphasis the metallic colour of the dress with glitter around the eyes.

Dress: The silver crystal embellished dress from Debut at Debenhams suited Hayley perfectly with detailed embellishments.

Michaela said she had wanted to be a model for as long as she could remember as she got ready for her moment in front of the camera at the Madeley Court Hotel.

“I am currently a third-year nurse and I think nursing has made me a more confident person and has improved my communication skills,” she added.

“I am so pleased and extremely excited to have got to the final ten of this competition and attending the photoshoot was so much fun.

“It was scary at first and I was nervous but everyone was so lovely that the nerves soon disappeared.”

“It would mean a lot to me to be the Face of Telford Shopping Centre for 2008 and I would give it my all.”

Hair: Michaela is very tall and can carry off a variety of looks because of her height. We tried a muted-down version of the beehive which is a very popular look this season, explained Debbie.

Make-up: Michaela has classic English rose looks so warm tones were used to compliment her pale complexion.

Dress: The full-length purple dress with glittering detail on the neckline was perfect for Michaela’s long and lean frame and the deep tone gave her a regal elegance.

“I was born and raised in Shropshire and I feel that I’ve got the right looks, a fit and healthy body of the right shape and size and the right attitude.

“The whole experience of getting to try a glamorous look and getting to meet new people.

“It was lovely.”

Hair: Alice’s cute crop didn’t need too much attention as it already looked fabulous but Sophie did give it an extra kick for the photoshoot.

Make-up: Greens were used around the eyes to complement the colour of Alice’s dress.

Corrie SwaffieldName: Corrie Swaffield
Age: 17
From: Shrewsbury

Corrie Swaffield loves performing and is a dedicated fan of drama and dance at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College where she is a student.

She thoroughly enjoyed her Face of the Future experience at the Madeley Court Hotel adding that she would be honoured to represent the area.

“I had a great time during the photoshoot and would love the opportunity to be a part of more things like that,” said Corrie.

“I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was really nice meeting all the other girls as well. It was really exciting getting to wear such a gorgeous dress and getting our hair done.”

Corrie said she felt that it was a great opportunity to be able to enter a competition like Face of the Future in Shropshire.

Hair: Corrie has a very petite frame so we didn’t want to create anything that would overpower her. We pulled her hair back into an elegant updo which looked great with the choice of dress for Corrie.

Make-up: Smoky greys were used around the eyes to add some drama to Corrie’s look because she is a drama student, with warm tones for her cheeks and lips.

Robyn MooreName: Robyn Moore
Age: 18
From: Much Wenlock

Robyn’s first memory of the catwalk was in primary school but she has never forgotten the buzz of being in the limelight.

She says: “I loved the feeling of looking gorgeous and making the clothes look amazing. The adrenaline was incredible and the applause made me feel great.

“That catwalk was in primary school but I have never forgotten it and still think of it as my first modelling experience.

“Erin O’Connor is arguably one of the hottest names in the modelling industry and she has always been an inspiration to me.

“Another inspiration to me is Lesley Hornby, otherwise known as Twiggy. She was the first model I heard about as I was growing up.

“Before my catwalk experience I had seen a picture of Twiggy and it showed me what a model was all about.”

Robyn added: “Now I am 18 I would give anything to be a supermodel and being the Face of Telford would be an incredible start to my career.

“I am at Telford College studying hairdressing and it would make me very proud to be the Face of Telford.”

Hair: Debbie gave a little added volume to Robyn’s blonde bob, adding some height to the style.

Make-up: Robyn has delicate features and great skin tone so just a small amount of make-up was used to highlight her eyes and cheekbones.

Dress: Robyn has great legs so we chose a black mini-dress with lace detail from Oasis at House of Fraser accessorised with a silver-disc necklace from Marks & Spencer.

“I have high hopes and dreams for my future and I’m very ambitious.

“Therefore I hope that one day I will make all my dreams come true.

“I had a hard time at school but that made me more determined to succeed and it has not made me feel weakened as a person.

“If anything it has made my personality stronger and made me a better person.
