Shawbury United are seeking sponsorship to boost their chances of continuing their dramatic run in the FA Vase - and making it all the way to Wembley.
The north Shropshire outfit have been drawn away to Essex Senior League side Concord Rangers in the last 32 - and club officials want to fund an overnight stay to make sure the team is fresh for the challenge.
“Concord play at Canvey Island and this is a 400 plus mile round trip and is impossible to complete in the same day and be at our peak,” said vice chairman Sam Giles.
“Therefore we are looking at travelling down on the Friday and seeking accommodation. For a club of Shawbury’s size this is a costly exercise and one that we are seeking sponsorship for.”
