Shropshire’s mysterious “big cat” has been spotted for the second time in two days.
Jeremy Watson, from Priorslee, saw the big black cat on the B4176 near Ackleton at 10.20pm on Monday.
He said: “The first thing I noticed were two very green eyes reflecting back in my headlights about 50 yards ahead before the animal melted away into the dark.
“It was definitely not a domestic cat, fox or badger, it was too big and all black.”
On Sunday, Telford Dairy Crest worker Shaun Yale saw a large black animal cross the road in front of him at Shawbury at about 5.40am.

has he been at the magic mushrooms?.
DO NOT BELIEVE IT WAS PROBABLY A BLACK LABRADOR.
Was it in a canoe ?
If its running across the B4176 we should have (slightly squashed) evidence very soon
Iv seen it.. its real
Good way to get your name in the paper this is. Will try it.
I saw this animal about 16 months ago on the edge of halesfield industrial estate. It was in early morning light and quite clearly a leopard sized cat, black with a quite long tail. By the time I got the camera on my mobile phone working it had dissapeared back into the hedgerow.
This is actually the third sighting as my son saw it at Stirchley Interchange on Saturday morning as reported on page four of that day’s paper
probaly was a black dog, or my cat, shes grey and wen u shine a bright light, her eyes go green, like all cats really. on a night time cats look big, or it could of just been there shaddows!!
I live for the day that someone finally manages to get photographic proof of this “beast” if only to shut those that refute it’s existance up and wipe the smug smiles off their faces!
Shame they could only find a pic of a domestic cat for the story - where’s the snarling panther pic?!
Try asking ‘Lewis Foley’ or family hes the local expert,
google him.
No9 above oh yes ,cant distinguish a cat from a dog hey,
What about an elephant from a giraffe, is that easier for you.
There have been many sightings of this black cat.I truly believe that it does exist.People who havent seen it should keep an open mind and not make nasty references about people who have seen it.
With the amount of mobile phones with cameras you would have thought there would be some pictures to prove the case.
