Jagielka in training after injury

Steve Jagielka in agony after breaking and dislocating his wristSkipper Steve Jagielka has resumed training with his AFC Telford United team-mates - but he will not be considered for action until the new year.Jagielka has been out ever since breaking his arm in the 1-0 defeat at Harrogate back in October.

But he has now been able to get back out on the training field and step up his rehabilitation.

“He’s had his plaster off and everything’s okay, and it’s just a case of building his fitness up now,” said assistant boss Larry Chambers.

“I don’t think he can start playing again for another couple of weeks. It’s healing properly but the doctors are just worried in case he falls and puts his arm down to support himself and damages it again.

“He’s gagging to play though, to be honest, he just loves playing and it’s been a difficult time for him.

“He can see light at the end of tunnel.”

Striker Justin Marsden also continued his recovery from a broken toe as he played his third game in six days for Malvern last night.

The former Solihull man was also on target again, scoring in a 3-1 defeat to Aylesbury, but Chambers added: “I spoke to him late last night and he said he was tired.

“He still thinks he needs a couple more games, so we’ll speak to him after training on Thursday and decide what we do next.”

l Telford could yet have a game on the Saturday before Christmas - with the league due to rule today on their request to bring forward the home clash with Vauxhall Motors from its scheduled date of Tuesday, April 22.
