Hello again. Here is the second ever technology blog hopefully there will be many more, writes our new technology blogger Tom Moore.
I want to talk once again about the iPhone but not how excited I am to play with one but instead my upset at when I did get one to play with and didn’t find it as good as the hype.
I decided to ring around mobile phone providers to get an iPhone on test to create a review for this blog but also to make a film about it.
I managed to get one and sat at my desk eagerly awaiting its arrival, when it finally arrived I immediately got it out of the box and began to mess as any gadget freak does when they get a new toy.
At first it was great with all its abundance of features and facilities, it was only when I tried to live with it that I found its faults.
For example, when you’re trying to access the internet you can get online using either wireless or EDGE networks.
But when you come to try and type in address on the touch screen it is incredibly fiddly to use.
When Sarah, my wife, tried to use it she found that she couldn’t at all due to her fingernails.
Which just proves that style has taken its place above functionality once again.
That in today’s society people are more bothered if something is aesthetically pleasing rather than doing its job really well.
Speaking of my wife all is well and as for Tiegan she is learning new words daily so now at 18 months old we can hold conversations and she can say what she wants to wear and what she wants to eat.
In case you weren’t aware, we are expecting our second child who is due on the 27th of January. I will keep you posted as things develop with them.
