A survey has been launched to find out what Bishop’s Castle residents think about controversial plans for a biomass burning power station in the town.
Plans for the £5 million development have caused uproar and more than 200 locals attended a recent public meeting to voice their concern.
Ludlow MP Philip Dunne, yesterday, announced the launch of a survey over the application.
He added that at the beginning of November he had chaired a meeting between the scheme promoters and leaders of the Bishop’s Castle Action Group.

What a strange coincidence that the Bishops Castle biomass bid was withdrawn last Friday, just after Dr Dick van Steenis spoke at the public meeting about a similar project at Tenbury Wells on 28 November 2007.
I hope that the Bishops Castle crew will show their appreciation by writing to the Tenbury Advertiser and Shropshire Star.
