Photo marks 50th anniversary

These are the original members of Shifnal Male Voice Choir, which has been celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The photo, which dates from around 1958, was e-mailed in by Mike Jordan, who says: “I attended the 50th anniversary service to commemorate the founding of Shifnal Male Voice Choir last Thursday at St Andrew’s Church, Shifnal.

“Attached is an old photograph showing the original members. My wife Janice’s father is fourth from the right on the back row - Norman Dyke, the dairyman - and her uncle Morley Dyke is second from the right on the front row.”
