Great fun to practise in

cressida-adams-vw-polo.jpgI am 12 now and my sister and I had Percy the Polo last year for a Christmas present, writes Cressida from Bridgnorth.

He’s an E registration so almost 20 years old and we bought him for about £100. He’s a green Classic 1.1 model and has done over 100,000 miles.

Percy used to belong to my friend Sophie, who is now 25 - Sophie and her sisters Hannah and Zoe, who live in Bobbington, all learned to drive in Percy, and then sold him to my neighbours Ben and Victoria, who also learned to drive in him.

Percy always starts first time, even though sometimes we don’t drive him for months. He has a bit of moss growing on him and a little bit of rust around the wheels, but apart from that he’s in very good condition.

Although he’s very old and well-used, Percy is great to drive around the 2 acre field on the track my dad cut for us.

Dad sits in the passenger seat while my sister and I try to start him without stalling.

Percy the Polo can reach 100 miles an hour (it says on the dial inside) but we have only done about 15 miles an hour in first gear in the field. We’re not allowed to go into second gear just yet!

We tried to get him done up on the TV show ‘Pimp my Ride’ but got no reply.

Oh and the radio won’t work so we really need an iPod!

The iPod competition is now over, but we’d still love to hear about your car - Click here to send us your review, a picture of the car, your name and where you’re from.
