Nine-year-old cancer sufferer Sophie Foxley has received chilling death threats on the online diary which she writes every week.

Messages have been posted on Sophie’s website threatening to set her house on fire and murder her. The youngster’s internet blog touched the hearts of millions of people around the world. Police are now investigating the threats.
Sophie was forced to flee her home with mum Jane Foxley and 14-year-old sister Jenny Smythe after a second comment was discovered on the website on Monday.Police have been patrolling the Bicton Heath area and outside the family’s house as well as regularly checking on them.
One threat said: “Me and my husband are going to kidnap you tonight at 12 o’clock. We are going to slit your throat and feed you to our daughter as cannibal stew. Don’t go to sleep cos you’ll never wake up.
“Your (sic) going to be murdered tonight at 12pm. We mean it. See you at 12.”
This term Sophie returned to school for the first time since she was diagnosed with leukaemia in June 2006 but has been too ill to attend recently.
Mrs Foxley, 38, said: “We saw the first one on Saturday night. We were not sure how seriously to take it. We phoned the police and they came round. I looked on Monday night and saw another one.
“Sophie, me and Jenny stayed away from home because we were not sure how serious it was. We just wanted to get out.
“We do not know if there’s someone out there or where they live so we are looking over our shoulder. It was a complete shock. We do not want people to think they have got to us but when you have children in the house you have to take it seriously.
“I told Sophie someone had put a nasty message on the site and we needed to leave the house.”
Mrs Foxley said Sophie had been feeling unwell recently so had not been on the site otherwise she would have seen them first.
“The messages are still there because the police need them,” she said.
Police spokeswoman Maria Hawkaluk said: “Police have been made aware of offensive messages posted on the website and are working closely with the family.
“Anyone who may have any information is asked to contact us on 08457 444888.”

Everyday I seem to come across new lows in people - I wonder just how far people like this will sink to get their vile and disgusting kicks?
It makes me ashamed at times to think of the way in which people are seemingly trying to destory anything thats beautiful and good in this world.

This story has made me physicaly sick and to add the abuse given to firefighters in shrewsbusy.

Do your best to live above these people. People like this are not sick, that is too kind, they are EVIL. This society of ours has thrown the rule book (Ten Command ments) away and have become plain EVIL. They do not have the same quality of character as yourselves and you can live above them. It’s exremely sad in this day and age that people would do something like this. You have international support on this, since I am an American. I hope this person is found and dealt with very harshly. I also wish you the best on recovering from your disease. It is never easy to battle a killer, whether it be the human or disease variety.
