As with last year’s awards what a fantastic inspiring event! Anyone who has ever been through a bit of a rough time and felt like throwing in the towel only needs to think about what any one of these incredible women has achieved to get the boost they need to pick themselves up. Thank you all, and than you to the Star for bringing their achievements into the public eye and rewarding them.

As the mother of nominee Emma Suddaby could I take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in Fridays Star Woman of the Year Awards. It was a glitzy, sparkling occasion yet I guess most of those there, like me, felt humbled by the sheer tenacity, selflessness and determination of all the nominees. As Emma’s Mum I know what a morale boost being nominated was for Emma. Thankyou Shropshire Star and Ladies.
