Swans aim to escape floods

Can I come in? - me feet are wet!

A couple of swans seem to be in conversation with a little boy at 122 Frankwell, Shrewsbury, during the great floods which hit the town just after the war.

The date will be either 1946 or 1947 - there were floods both years.

The boy is not identified. The photo was loaned to us by Shrewsbury author and historian David Trumper.
