I think the postal workers are being silly, if there not happy with there pay then get a new job, people who work in factories get less money and dont go on strike.

i think that Mr Jako should be more informed about the postal strike. The pay deal would have been signed months ago. The management want the staff to lose at the least £80 per week off their pension. Also the workers want to provide a good service to the customers and the management are going to make it very difficult. The public will be getting their mail later and later because the management want the staff to start later in the day.

    Dear Jacko
Have you ever been abroad and got back before your postcards? No I don’t think so!
Have you ever worked over Christmas? My postman Dad used to.
They do a dam good job and deserve every penny off their pension. Why should they give it up.
What a fantastice service we have

I think they should work a 40 hour week like the rest of us. Who does pockets think he is.

I think that the public are greatly misled as to why the posties are striking.its not just over pay but conditions and especially the pension that royal mail is intent on destroying. How can they say that they are offering a pay rise of 2.5%
but taking away £35 in allowances a week. this is a pay cut in my eyes i dont blame the posties for standing up for themselves.I bet the top management are going to get a good deal and when they finish they will have a golden handshake not a £30 pound watch..

our postal service used to be the best in the world with next morning delivery almost guaranteed and if not first thing it would be delivered by 2nd post this has now gone and the mail is getting delivered later and later sometimes as late as 3 in the afternoon.with the proposals that royal mail want to implement we will be lucky if we get the post before teatime.our postman was always part of the community we knew him by name and he knew if we were out what to do with parcels and where to leave them. this kind of service is dissapearing and its a shame.
i support the posties for all they are standing up for good on you lads….
