A former chart-topping girl band star and Celebrity Love Island contestant was in Telford today for the official unveiling of this year’s pantomime.Kelle Bryan, formerly of Eternal, will be hoping the slipper fits at The Place in Oakengates when she performs in the annual panto from December 12 to January 6.
She joined the Cinderella cast at Telford Town Park for the launch of the pantomime today.
Kelle will take to the stage to play the main part in the rags to riches fairytale.
Joining Kelle was the man playing Baron Hardup - Tony Scannell, who is best known for his role as Detective Sergeant Ted Roach in ITV’s The Bill.
The show will also feature Britain’s “ugliest sisters” Darrock & Howe. Hundreds of tickets were sold within weeks of the box office opening as schools and groups across the borough pre-booked tickets for the show.
Last year’s performance of Peter Pan was a record-breaking year for the theatre.

Kelle, who left Eternal in 1999, has acted in EastEnders and The Bill and was runner-up, along with professional dancer Brendan Cole, in the 2006 series of Celebrity Love Island. She is also a top class kickboxer.
