Distance: Four miles.
Terrain: Easy walking on lanes and fieldpaths. One gentle ascent, 11 stiles.
1. Start the walk in Morfe Lane, east of the A458 to the north of Enville. Walk along the lane in the direction of Swindon for about half a mile, turn right over a stile with a Staffordshire Way sign and walk down the left-hand field boundary.
2. Pass through a small wood and over a footbridge before crossing a double stile and entering a private garden via a gate.
3. Continue along the edge of the lawn to exit on to the A458 by a gate, turn left and walk as far as the car park to Enville church. Turn right through the gate, pass to the right of the church and exit the churchyard by another gate.
4. Walk diagonally down the field to a gate giving access to the drive to Enville Hall and turn right along it until it bears left just past the stable block.
5. Cross the stile ahead and continue across the field to another stile, follow the path between the pool and the farm and after crossing two more stiles bear half-right on to a farm track as far as a stile to the left of a gate.
6. Cross over and climb half-left up the field heading to the right of the houses to the next gate/stile, cross over and bear half-right to a marker post near the top of the hill — you are now on the Sheepwalks which are well waymarked.
7. Follow the line of posts before descending to the left of a pool, cross the stile into a field, turn right along its boundary and at the end bear left on to a track for a few yards before turning right along the right-hand field boundary.
8. At the end turn right between the trees as far as a stile on the left. Cross over and continue ahead on a track which leads out on to Morfe Lane. Turn right along the lane, cross the A458 and return to the start.
