Recognition for choristers

Martyn Jones MP presents a disc to Ann Atkinson and David Jones of Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir The world famous Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir has been recognised for selling half a million copies of their recent album.

The Fron Choir’s first album with Universal, Voices of the Valley, became the best-selling classical album of 2006 and can also claim to be the fastest-selling classical album ever.

The record held the number one spot in the classical album chart for two weeks, and reached number nine in the pop album charts.

To commemorate the sale of half a million copies, Martyn Jones, Clywd South MP, presented a disc to Ann Atkinson, musical director, and David Jones, chairman.
