Distance: Five miles.
Terrain: Easy walking on tracks and fieldpaths with a climb out of the valley.
1. Start your walk at the B4373 and the lane into the village. Walk through the village and past the Pheasant Inn before turning sharp left on to a track in front of No 70.
2. This eventually turns to grass and at the top bears right and narrows into a path between trees before exiting on to a lane.
3. Turn right and then left to pass two cottages and just after the bend turn left down a track which becomes surfaced just before a T-junction.
4. Turn left to the B4373 and turn right along it as far as a footpath sign on the left just before the Swan at Nordley.
5. Pass through the gate and walk down the right-hand-side of two fields before entering a narrow path through the wood.
6.
7. Continue ahead, pass through a gate in a field and follow the track which ends by the former Linley railway station.
8. Cross the trackbed and continue down towards the River Severn, turn left just before Apley Bridge and turn left across a stile to walk up the riverbank and cross another stile just in front of a cottage on the bank. Turn sharp left before the cottage to pass alongside some buildings and follow the track on to the trackbed.
9. Turn left along it, cross the brook by a bridge and turn right down the bank to a gate.
10. Pass through and walk up the middle of the field, continuing ahead on a narrow woodland path, before following a left-hand boundary which leads to a track which passes Linley Hall and the track to the church before joining the B4373. Turn left down the hill to return to the start.
