Grinshill

grinshill.jpg1. Start at Grinshill Village Hall, up the lane and past the church. Walk down the lane past All Saints, turn right and walk out of village, ignoring road on the left.

2. Turn right over stile into a field, walk half-left to another stile by an oak tree.

Continue on the same line to another stile to a small enclosure, with a further stile in far corner leading to a lane.

3. Cross over and pass through the left-hand gate. Along muddy track as far as drive to Sansaw house.

Cross the drive and make for a kissing gate in far right hand corner of field. Continue along boundary wall, over bridge between two pools, before turning right through a gate just before the railway embankment.

4. Turn left immediately and cross railway. Make for a stile in the far boundary of the field, just to the left of the top right hand corner.

5.

Turn left along the lane, passing Yorton House and a T-junction on the left, until it bears right.

6. Turn left here along a broad track and continue to its junction with the lane at Yorton Heath. At the junction turn right, then left at the next one, and follow Merry Lane as it passes under the railways and through Sansaw Heath to another junction.

7. Turn left, with the boundary wall of the Sansaw estate on your left, then right and then left at the next two junctions to return to Grinshill by your outward route.
