Distance: Four miles.
Terrain: An undulating walk on lanes, tracks and fieldpaths, with six stiles.
1. Start at Abdon Church, between Ditton Priors and Tugford. Walk into the churchyard, pass alongside the church and through the small gate in the corner into a large field with many humps and bumps.
These are the remains of the medieval village of Abdon which has long since disappeared.
2. Walk past the large tree in the middle of the field to a stile in the far boundary in front of Manor Farm Cottage.
Cross over and turn left, cross a small footbridge and climb over another stile into a wood.
3. Follow the sunken lane inside the wood to a stile at the far end, cross this and continue up the right-hand boundaries of two fields to emerge on to a lane.
Turn right along this, continue ahead at the first junction, fork right at the second, and after passing a footpath sign on the left, pass through a wicket gate on the right.
4. Follow the path as it curves uphill and around to the right, then pass through a gate on to a forest track.
Turn right along this, through the wood, pass through a gate and walk alongside a fence on the right before emerging on to the lower slopes of Brown Clee Hill via another gate.
5. Continue ahead contouring the hill and crossing two fences before reaching a wide track running up the hill as part of the Shropshire Way.
6. Turn right down this to its junction with a lane, walk past the telephone box, turn left at the T-junction and walk back down the lane past the School House to the start.
