Silence for shot officer

Members of the police authority that governs Shropshire stood for a minute’s silence in memory of murdered county Constable Richard Gray.

West Mercia Police Authority remembered Constable Gray, shot dead in Shrewsbury on May 6, before its meeting yesterday.

The panel also paid tribute to Keith Harris, a police liaison officer at Shrewsbury Crown Court who died from a heart attack in May, and to Constable Jon Henry, who was stabbed to death in Luton town centre on Monday.
