Distance: Two-and-a-half miles.
1. Start at the foot of the Wrekin on the road from Wellington to Little Wenlock. Take the main track past the toilets and follow it gradually uphill to a junction.
2. The main track to the summit of the Wrekin bears round to the right but continue ahead on an undulating track along the base of the hill.
3. After about 600 yards, and opposite a cleared patch of woodland, look out for a stile down on the left, which leads into a field. Cross this and walk down the right hand side of two fields to a track.
4. Cross this and walk up the grassy track opposite, then follow the path which keeps to the left hand edge of the wood before emerging on to the road.
Turn right and walk to the top of the hill before locating a footpath sign on the left.
5.
6. Turn left and walk past some old farm buildings, then down past a quarry and on to the road, then turn right and follow this back to the start.
