When I was in New York in Jan 2007 I asked the guide why Batman, Superman, Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, etc, etc never all crash into each other in the skies over the city when they are flying around hunting criminality and criminals.
Answer - it may have something to do with the new regulations since 9/11.
