The trust has been appointed to eventually run the heritage railway line through Oswestry to Gobowen, which would see trains run through the town once again after more than 40 years.
It is hoped the plans will boost tourism and bring tens of thousands of pounds into the local economy.
But plans at Llynclys have been controversial in the parish so trust chairman Ken Ryder attended a Llanyblodwel Parish Council meeting to discuss its future.
Council clerk Dave Preston said: “Ken Ryder came to speak on the back of a number of concerns in Llynclys about the impact of the railway in the local community in terms of the environment, noise and nuisance, highways and the recent application for a large carriage shed.
“Llanyblodwel Parish Council strongly opposed the planning application but it has been passed. They were against it on the back of complaints from residents, including the visual impact of the site on the rural area, highway problems and drainage issues and the fact engine repairs will be taking place adjacent to residential properties.”
Mr Ryder said the trust would be pleased to deal with any specific problems and they had not set out to upset anyone.
