There are no ghosts, the atmosphere is much too warm and peaceful for spectral lodgers, and though visitors find themselves transported in spectacular style back to the 19th Century, the hall is still very much a family house, with plenty of references to Paul and Victoria Humpherston’s successful marriage, children and grandchildren.
