Kate fashion arrives in county

College students Jenny Black, 17, and Claire Sturmey, 18, admire a dress in the Kate Moss collection at Telford Shopping Centre's TopshopTwo Shropshire friends were among the first fashion fans to see the new Kate Moss collection for Topshop as it was unveiled today in Shropshire.Claire Sturmey, 18, from Muxton, and Jenny Black, 17, from Wrockwardine Wood, were among the early bird customers through the door at Telford Shopping Centre.

They said they had been waiting for the Kate Moss collection to arrive and were really eager to see if it lived up to its hype.

“I don’t know how much I will spend yet but I think it all looks great,” said Claire as she browsed through dresses, hotpants and T-shirts from the new range.

Jenny said she was also impressed adding that she really liked the supermodel’s style.

The collection was first launched in London last night sparking a massive crowd of shoppers and long queues in the capital’s shopping hub, Oxford Street.

The scrum saw fashion fans quickly snap up their five-item limit at the store as Topshop billionaire boss Sir Philip Green celebrated the glitzy launch, which was reported on the main BBC News bulletin at 10pm.

But the story was a lot different in Shropshire which should make the county more inviting to those eager to get their hands on future celebrity collections including the Kylie range which arrives at Telford’s H&M this month.

I am sure Kate Moss is laughing all the way to the bank now - she is the winner in the long run, not the purchaser.
