Luxury house ideal for family

sh6dfs-1.jpgJohn Ainsworth and his partner Charlene Gay have a simply stunning luxury home in Admaston.

9 Dalefield Drive was built by McAlpine Homes around five years ago. It is a spacious and well designed property, which looks brand new and is an ideal family home.

The house is great for entertaining with special features including a charming entrance hall, off which are the main reception rooms and the breakfast/kitchen.

Glazed doors lead from the entrance hall to the rest of the downstairs rooms making the most of natural light.Upstairs there is a large landing leading to the four double-sized bedrooms, two of which are en suite, and bathroom.

John bought the property after relocating to Telford from Worcester two years ago. As he and Charlene, who both work in banking, are now relocating for work, they have put their home up for sale through Barbers of Wellington for around £339,950.

It has a canopy entrance porch, reception hall, study, cloakroom, lounge, dining room, breakfast kitchen, utility room, four bedrooms, family bathroom, detached double garage and front and rear landscaped gardens.

Admaston is a desirable place to live with  sought-after luxury homes on the edge of town.

sh6dfs-5.jpgJohn said: “The people who I had it off bought it brand new. We’ve not had to do anything to it apart from buying new curtains. I wish I could pick it up and take it with me. I genuinely mean that. I like the room sizes.”

The entrance hall is light and airy. It has good quality laminate flooring and an under stairs storage cupboard.

A stylish glazed door to the right opens to the good-sized front facing study with laminate flooring.

Next along is a handy cloakroom with laminate flooring and a further glazed door to the rear which opens to the lounge. This room is spacious, light and airy. It has a feature fireplace and attractive French doors with side windows out to the rear garden.

A glazed door to the left of the entrance hall opens to the good-sized dining room. This is front facing and again has laminate flooring.

Another glazed door to the left opens to the breakfast kitchen. This room is really impressive and very spacious. It has ceramic tiled flooring, space for a separate dining table and chairs.

It is fitted out with an integrated double fan assisted oven, gas hob with over-head extractor hood, integrated dishwasher and fridge/freezer, laminate work surfaces with tiled splash-backs.

It has a window overlooking the side and another providing views of the rear garden. Charlene described the room as “a very sociable kitchen”.

A handy utility, with separate sink, lies off the kitchen. Again with ceramic floor tiling and units, it has plumbing for a washing machine and space for a tumble dryer.

sh6dfs-3.jpgUpstairs, the master bedroom faces the rear and has a dressing area as well as an en suite. Bedroom two has an en suite and faces the front.

The remaining bedrooms are again double and the family bathroom is well fitted, light and airy and of a good size.

Outside a double width surfaced drive, edged with block paving, leads to the double garage.

The front garden is mainly lawned and has an attractive dwarf wall with wrought iron railings, dwarf box hedge and shrubs and borders.

A path leads to the front door and there is access on both sides to gates to the rear. The back garden is mainly lawned and also has an attractive natural stone patio area, shrub borders, further paved patio and decked pergola. It is not overlooked.

John and Charlene will miss the area. John said: “The thing that I like about the area is that it is so quiet, yet you’ve also got a supermarket jut ten minutes away.

“Admaston has got a village pub - The Pheasant; you’ve got a post office and newsagent and they are literally within walking distance. Everyone who has stayed here has said that it is just so lovely.”

John had looked around different areas of Telford before deciding on Admaston. He said: “You are right on the edge of town, and one of the beauties of Telford is that within ten minutes you are back out into the countryside.”
