The first acts for this year’s V Festival have been announced, with The Killers and Foo Fighters due to headline at the music event on the Shropshire border.
The line-up at the 12th annual festival will include co-headliners Snow Patrol, as well as Kasabian, Pink, indie rockers James, dance duo Basement Jaxx and The Kooks.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday at 9am and performers will take to stages at Weston Park and in Chelmsford, Essex, on August 18 and 19.
Virgin Mobile customers will be able to purchase their V Festival tickets from today. Festival director Bob Angus said: “Building the V Festival line-up is without a doubt one of the best times of the year for us and securing The Killers and Foo Fighters as headliners is a real achievement.”
Other big names set to perform include BRIT awardwinner Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis, Primal Scream, Paolo Nutini, The Editors and Mika.
