Lisa is a triple winner

Award-winner Lisa Pitchford It was a triple celebration for wedding and portrait photographer Lisa Pitchford as she rounded off an amazing 2006 by scooping her third major award.

The 29-year-old, who hails from Albrighton, was just one of three photographers chosen from thousands of entries nationwide in her category.

She scooped an Award of Excellence in the British Professional Photography Awards at a glitzy ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry.

Her latest award comes just months after she was named as the Master Photographers Association best regional newcomer for both weddings and portraits in 2006.

Lisa, a former pupil at Idsall School, Shifnal, said: “After setting up Lisa Pitchford Photography just three years ago I was amazed to win the regional awards.

“Taking photographs is something I’ve always loved and it’s a privilege to take the photos on a couple’s wedding day. But to receive recognition from the industry itself is something very special.”

Lisa, who works from a base in Derbyshire, entered a selection of wedding images for her latest award - many taken across the Midlands and internationally.

Chairman of the judging panel Kevin Wilson said: “The standard of the Award for Excellence winners was truly remarkable. It is a great honour to win such a prestigious prize - I hope Lisa uses her award to further her career.”
