Kirby handed England chance

ball4.jpgBridgnorth youngster Daniel Kirby is set for under-16s international honours after earning a place in the 62-man rugby squad named to represent England and England A.

The Bridgnorth Endowed pupil will now take part in a five-day assessment session at Castlecroft in Wolverhampton, which starts on February 14.

And it is at that session that the huge squad will be split into two for the April international programme.

England A will take part in the Millfield International Festival from April 1 to 8, while the England side will play in a tournament against Wales, France and Italy in the Midlands from April 5 to 11.

The next competitive step for the under-16s will be two matches to round off their stay at Castlecroft on Sunday, February 18.
