Struggling Telford Tigers welcome a new goalie this week, as they prepare to face defending champions Guildford Flames at home on Saturday before travelling to Peterborough on Sunday.
British netminder Sam Roberts, pictured, joins the squad from ENL side Blackburn Hawks, who he joined this season after five years in Hull, playing at EPL and BNL level with the Stingrays and Thunder.
Tigers’ player-coach Claude Dumas said: “For the last three weekends before Christmas we had only Daniel Heslop.
“He did a great job for us but we need two goalies.
Roberts said: “I’m anxious to get my first game out of the way. I was here before Christmas and it seems to be a good set-up here, and a good bunch of lads.”
