You could be our Bucks blogger!

brock.gifAre you a fan of AFC Telford United who wants to have a regular say on your team’s fortunes? Think you’ve got what it takes to be a sports reporter? The Shropshire Star’s website is looking for a “Bucks blogger” to follow the fortunes of Rob Smith’s team.

But hurry - the closing date is October 27.

ShropshireStar.com already has a Shrewsbury Town blogger, David Craig, who is building up a regular audience with his views of the ups and downs at Gay Meadow.

We have a teen issues blogger and a movie blogger too, as well as a blog by the paper’s national news editor Dave Burrows.

Chris Leggett, who heads up the Star’s internet team, says: “It will be your chance to speak to an online audience of around 100,000 unique users each month — a figure which is bound to soar as we launch a whole raft of new features.”

Now we want a voice from the terraces at the New Bucks Head. So, what sort of person are we looking for?

Chris explains: “Living in the Shropshire Star circulation area, you’ll be submitting on average two blogs of up to 200 words each week. We are looking for a bloggers for the Bucks who will follow all the team action and news and want to share the fans’ point of view.

“You’ll be submitting your blogs after the matches and whenever there’s transfer news — or just speculation. In all three cases, you will need to write clear, balanced and opinionated articles.”

Interested? Then tell us, in no more than 200 words, why you’re the perfect person for the job.

Send your entry, along with your name, age and address, to internet@shropshirestar.co.uk. All entries must arrive by 5pm on October 27.
