Whitchurch experienced the happy travellers feeling for the first time this season after chalking up an opening away success of the campaign at Tyldesley. A second half fightback ensured the Edgeley Park men chalked up a 17-14 triumph to move into seventh place in North Two.
“It was a well deserved win and it’s always important to get that first away victory,” said spokesman John Gregory.
“Our forwards dominated and it’s put us in a decent position in the league.”
